Was

Man alive, I hate pictures of myself.
especially pregnant pictures.

They are always so awkward.
I never know how to stand, how to smile, where to put my hands that doesnt look awkward or cover up my belly and make me look smaller than I actually am (like they do in this picture) how to turn my head, if Dale has even decided while he is taking the picture to even put my head in it.

So they end up looking like this....
ugh

This was me 3 weeks ago tomorrow.
Sooooo... 28 weeks and 5 days?
Ya I think thats right. Probably not though. I cant be trusted when it comes to anything that involves any amount of brain power right about now.

I look at this picture and I think
"Man, i thought i was huge then and that was almost a month ago!"
I am a big pregnant monster.
That's pretty much it.

Today

Today is the day for the pregnancy glucose test.

Three Things.

One- The fruit punch flavor is NOT any better than the orange. Everyone lies.

Two- I really wish my Gag reflexes weren't so dang bad.

Three- Makenna smothering me with her poopy diaper while I am already on the verge of throwing up doesn't help the issue I am having with thing number 2. (no pun intended, really)

I am going to treat myself to something very salty when I am done with this!!!

Technically

So I know these type of posts usually come with a great profile view of the pregnant woman posting them at the correct amount of weeks along... I don't have one. I have a GREAT profile shot of my belly from a month ago though, just not on this computer.
I am awesome.
So this will just have to do.

This is also from a month ago when we were in Utah at the Logan Temple. Not profile so you cant really tell how monstrous I was (or am) but after I saw this picture I decided that this dress needed to be retired until post-partum.  Seriously, I am sure I flashed a few family members my "inappropriates" while doing Mommy duties while I was at a cemetery.
What was I thinking?
I need to stick to maxi dresses.

On topic? Not great at that...

So technically I am supposed to be 25 weeks but Baby Boy has consistently been measuring and developing a week ahead the whole pregnancy. Here's to the hope that Doc will move up the due date a week. I have done this twice now and I can feel my body progressing much faster than it has with either girls pregnancies. I have been feeling braxton hicks contractions since I was 3months and they are getting harder and longer. He is sitting so low already it feels like he has already dropped. I am hoping at this point that he decides to at least stick it out until 37 weeks...

So I decided that I needed to write down how I am feeling and whats happening at this stage in pregnancy before I get any farther and haven't put anything down anywhere.

-I am in pain. Every joint and muscle is working overtime with this one and I am in constant pain. I never had these problems with the other 2 until 9 months.

-I have been craving Chocolate Milk and Corn dogs. Never at the same time but definitely daily.

-This is the point in my pregnancy where NONE of my clothes fit me. Not even the ones I have bought to fit me for a while since found out I was pregnant. I woke up Friday and NOTHING fit. I have a skirt some basketball shorts and a t-shirt. Its great...

-I am still sick. Almost all the time. I haven't thrown up in a few weeks but I got really close yesterday. The sickest I have been in weeks.

-This kid is vicious. Mean and strong. His kicks are already wreaking havoc on my ribs. He is so strong. Dale likes to shake my belly on the rare occasion that he is not active and I honestly get a little scared of waking the beast. I may or may not whine a little every time Dale starts to shake my belly.

-The girls are so excited for their little baby brother. Riley asks me every day "Mom, can we PLEASE go to the hosibal to get my baby brother out of your tummy tomorrow??" I wish it was that easy.

-He already has 2 names. Hiccup and Rudger. Rudger just happens to be his nickname according to Riley. Every time I say the name Rudger she corrects me and says "Its HICCUP mom!" Haha

-We are nowhere near ready for this boy but luckily we still have some time.

In a Million Years

Never in a million years did I see myself with Daughters.

Boys were all I knew.
If you knew me anytime before high school, you know what I am talking about.
Tomboy to the extreme.

I always swore that when I got married I only wanted boys. No girls for me. I knew that it wasn't really up to me but i couldn't help but wish.

Girls terrified me. Literally. When I found out that Bug was of the female variety I was TERRIFIED. I don't think I told one person, even Dale.

My thoughts were something along the line of:
I cant raise this child to be a confident woman when I have no confidence as a woman myself. I can fake it but its not there. I wont be able to dress her fashionably. I wont be able to do her hair. or teach her how to do her hair. I wont be able to show her the affection a little girl needs.

I was full of doubts. Lots and lots of doubts.

Dale says I jinxed us. That we will only ever have girls because of my wishes. haha

Maybe that's true. They sure are cute though aren't they??

Seriously.
My fears have been subdued. I love my girls and as they have grown and as I grow to know them better, bit by bit, things become a little clearer to me.

The funny thing is, i know we make cute girls but if someone had told me 6 years ago that I would get 3 offers in one month from families with 3 kids or more, have all boys and all are pregnant and due before the end of the year, that if we have a girl (which apparently is likely) and they have their boys, that we should switch.
None of them serious of course but hilarious none the less! 3 people offering up their children to switch!

I cant get over it!

It's Kind Of a Funny Story

So I remembered that when I was gonna post about baby number 3 that I was gonna share a little bit about how we found out.

Here goes...

So one day I am standing in my family room and Riley Bug struck up an interesting conversation with me out of the blue. This is how it went.

Bug: Hey Mom, you have a baby in your belly!
Me: Um, I really don't think I do....
Bug: Uh, ya you do Mom. Let me check...

She puts one hand on my belly for a half second then looks up at me very matter-of-fact like and says

Bug: Ya, you do. It is a baby brother and we are gonna name him Hiccup.

(Um, do you think we might be a little obsessed with a certain movie with dragons and scrawny dragon trainers? Maybe... I will never tell.)

She walks away. I am speechless I am pretty sure my reaction to this would have been the perfect photo opportunity. Too bad for all of you... ha

Not too long after and she gets invited to go play at a friends house down the street. I worry that she might say something. This girl is like an elephant. SHE NEVER FREAKIN' FORGETS ANYTHING!
My fears were justified. I talked to the mom of the friend the next day at the primary activity day and she said she wanted to ask me about it! HA I still had no clue if I actually was or not so I told her the truth to the best of my knowledge. I was not "expecting"

Curiosity got the better of me. Course it did. If this situation had just happened to you and you didn't run out and get a pregnancy test within 24 hours your nerves are made of stone.

(just kidding... But really why would you not?!)

Either way, I sent Dale to the dollar store to get me a pregnancy test.

I am serious about this people... NEVER spend any more than ONE DOLLAR on a pregnancy test ever again! You might think I am ghetto and you might say NEVER ( I was skeptical at first too...) but seriously they are accurate.

Now I do know that since I am only spending a dollar I am not expecting it to work miracles. Since I wasn't supposed to "start" for another few days I didn't expect it to perform to the accuracy of an EPT that apparently is a fortune teller and can tell you before your body even knows but I figured i would give it a  go.

Dale brought home 2 and I took both at the same time.

COULD NOT BELIEVE MY EYES! Two lines??? TWO LINES??? Was this for reals happening?? It totally was.

Positive. I run in and tell Dale and we were in such shock.

My best friend put it the best "Someone is sharing secrets with that little girl"

Secret sharing indeed!

I realized a couple days later that I had already had a pregnancy test lying around so i took that one and of course it came out the exact same way.

Positive.

Still in shock.

So to add to this Riley starts telling me I have 2 babies in my belly. Than a week later is was three.

Once it got to three I was skeptical but still a little nervous to go and have an ultrasound and have the Doc tell me Bug was right.

The Doc. said at least she got one prediction right... Haha Clearly, I heard the heartbeat. I saw the peanut. I see my belly expanding faster than it did with either girly. The baby is there. Whether or not its a boy is still up in the air for a couple more months but we will see.

Peanut

I'm Pregnant!

This little one is going to be a winter baby!
Christmas Baby to be exact.
Due Date: December 24th.

I couldn't believe it either!

Riley is very excited and asks about every 5 seconds if the baby is going to be OK.
Mak doesn't quite get it yet but every time Riley says something about the baby in my belly Mak points to my belly then points to her and then points to Riley's. I cant wait to see how she reacts when my belly gets bigger!
