6 Months

This chubster is 6 months! The time has flown by! I cant believe she has grown so big so fast!
She had her appointment yesterday and we got some strange news.... She is in the 75Th percentile for HEIGHT!!!!
I never would have guessed that one of my kids would be TALLER than average!
Dale is 5feet 7 in
I am 5feet 4 in
We never thought this would happen!
There is some tall genes on my side of the family and maybe she got them.
Or maybe she will be taller than average for 3 months and go back down! Who knows! Either way, this is strange news!
For weight she is in the 52Nd percentile.

This cutie is so stinking smart!
She is trying so hard to crawl the right way! She gets up on her hands and knees and rocks, will move her knees up but the second she moves her arms she topples over! Its adorable and hilarious! She is just so so close!
She sits up all by herself and she is amazing at that!
She "talks" like crazy! She says Da da da a lot and she says Ma ma ma quite a bit too!
We know she doesn't know what she is saying or that it applies to mom and dad at all but
DON'T RUIN OUR FUN!
;)
Her favorite foods are any kind of veggies and the rice cereal that has an apple flavor and the oatmeal that has a banana flavor! She knows what kind of cup I mix it in and she
FREAKS OUT
when I start mixing up the cereals! It is the most hilarious thing i have ever seen!

Makenna Rose is the most beautiful little baby! We are so so happy everyday to have her here with us! Riley loves her to death and so do we!
She keeps us laughing all day with all the goofy little things she does!

Oh!
Another funny thing she does....
When Riley starts freaking out and crying about something Mak will get a huge smile on her face and kinda get excited! When Riley is happy and laughing Mak will decide to cry!
Its really funny and sort of sad!
This is going to be an interesting life! I cant wait to see how they grow together and how they get along and what kind of sisters they will be to each other!

Remember....

Remember the last post when I said that Riley Bug was 3 going on 12?
Well I was wrong....
She is 3 going on 16!
Riley is in a little play-group with my sisters kids and few others. They meet on Thursday mornings for a couple hours.
Well I was getting the Bug ready this morning for my sister to come pick her up (Because Dale and I are running on one car now and Dale is at school on Thursday mornings.... Don't get me started...) and she was so excited to go. After I finished getting her ready she kept saying to me, so matter of fact like.
"Mommy, I am going with Jamie OK? I will be back later, OK? Jamie is gonna come get me and I am gonna go play and I will be back later! OK? Dear Bug,
I love you so so much! I know that you couldn't be any stinkin cuter if you tried but can you do me one favor? For your most favorite Mommy ever??? Can you Please,
PLEASE,
with cherries on top,
STOP GROWING UP SO DANG FAST????????
That would be great!
Really!
Love,
Mom!

A Little Piece of Our World- edit

My girls are getting too big! I realized I haven't don't any updating on either one for a while so that's what I intend to do now!
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Riley Bug
The Bug loves to dress herself! She has a few favorite items in her closet and wants to wear all of them at once! Here is an example of that! She has to be the biggest cheese ever! I can hardly get a picture any more of her without this face!
Her favorite jacket dress and jeans! We told her she needed to wear pants and not a dress and this is what she decided on instead.

Bug loves to be around lots and lots of people! She is very very social and not even a little bit shy! There have a few incidents where she has gone up to complete strangers and given them huge hugs! Its scares me every time! One day she is going to do that to the wrong person one day and I am scared for what could happen!

She adores her cousins.... EVERY SINGLE ONE!

This girl has an imagination like I have never seen before!
She loves to play the characters from her favorite movies! At this moment She is Penny and our dog Taz is Bolt! They are out to save the world from the evil Calico!
I never realized that all the little things we have come in so many sizes! She finds them all! The big hairspray bottle the smaller mousse bottle and the smaller detangler bottle and the smaller trial size shampoo bottle! She gives them all a name...
The biggest is Dale, (nope she doesn't call it Daddy... she calls it dale) The next one is Cajsa, the next one is Riley then Makenna then if there is an even smaller something she can find she will name it Taz. She will sit there for the longest time role playing with bottles. Its the strangest thing to hear Calling them by name! Not hearing Mommy but hearing Cajsa! Sometimes I answer for some strange reason even if I know what she is doing and I get reminded that she isn't talking to me... She is talking to THAT mommy! hahahaha

The Bug is too smart for her own dang good and KNOWS IT! Dale and I cant get away with anything anymore.

She is three and a half going on 12......
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Makenna

This chunk of a baby LOVES TO EAT! I have said it before but it never ceases to amaze me how much this girl can scarf down in one sitting! This picture is of one of her first rice cereal feedings.... she doesn't get half this messy anymore. She KNOWS how to get every bit in her mouth now. She doesn't waste a thing!

She will down about 8oz of solids three times a day and then eat 3 6oz bottles on top of that! She is a PIG!

I LOVE IT!!

Its keeps those chubby cheeks chubby!

This "Little" girl has the best smiles! Riley has a cheesy smile and I think Mak learned her ways! We start to talk to her and she gets this massive smile on her face and her body goes crazy! She gets so excited!

Her Grandpa Whipple says "She smiles with her entire body!"
That statement could not be more true!

This is why the picture is partly blurry! When she smiles like this she doesn't stop moving and our camera doesn't handle that very well!
(we cant figure the dang thing out and I am on the verge of selling it to someone that can and just going and getting a more simple one! ANY TAKERS?)

She is sitting up!

So so well!

She doesn't need help any more!

I am in a little denial about it. I want to think she needs a little help with it but she really doesn't.

She is rolling around like no ones business!

I forgot how to baby proof.....

She is crawling....

Almost.

She gets up on her hands and knees rocks and scoots! She hasn't quite figured out how to pull her knees up one by one without taking a dive but I am sure she is just days away from figuring it out!

(I would put a video on here except that I CANT STAND to listen to myself on the videos...Its really embarrassing. For me at least!)

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

EDIT: MAK CUT HER FIRST TOOTH AND THE SECOND IS CLOSE!!!!!!!!!

There has been a lot of wiping of her nose, Tylenol giving and rubbing of gums!

I noticed its presence on Thursday the 11th!!

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I cant handle my girls getting so big so fast! Makenna is only 26 weeks and she has got this all down and its freaking me out!

I was hoping that Makenna would take a little longer than Riley did to want to crawl and walk but it looks like she might even beat her out!

Both of them are unbelievably smart and I am so so proud to be there Mom!

Safe at home

To those of you who read the post I linked to below I have an update!

My Mother was released from the hospital and sent home to rest. They gave her multiple cat scans and tests. They compared spots they had found on her brain to previous cat scans that she has had and found nothing new! This is relatively good news. The spots on her brain are not good but the fact that she hasn't grown any new ones is good news. There was no stroke or mini stroke. Apparently it was just a bad day! The M.S attacked her body and left her body not knowing how to handle it. My own opinion is just that her body was so exhausted that it was attacking her!

She has decided to put off going back to work for the week but if it was her choice she would be to work today with no second thoughts!

When my dad called to tell me that my mom was home he said she was home but she was cleaning up all the toys! Going through them and figuring out what she did and didn't need. That's my Mother! Even when she is resting she really isn't resting!

We love her and we are glad that she is doing better!!

How it goes....

You know, its SUPER frustrating when you get some awesome pictures of your baby sitting up so so well and you cant find the cord to hook the camera up to the computer to switch them over!

I hate moving! It makes me lose things!

Annoying!

As close to the Pulitzer as I will ever get!

I Have been awarded the Beautiful Blogger award!

Thank you Leah!!!!!

I actually got this a little bit ago but our Internet was down so I couldn't do anything about it!

As a beautiful blogger I am supposed to tell seven facts about myself then tag seven other Beautiful Bloggers.

Here goes....

1. I am pretty sure I am the most boring person on the planet because when it comes to these things I NEVER can think of ANYTHING about myself, interesting or not!

2. I am SUCH a nervous talker. When I am put in a position that I am meeting new people or someone says something awkward I always have an impulse to share too much! WAAAAAY to much. So if I have ever made you feel awkward or insulted you in any way I AM SO SO SO SORRY!!!! I sometimes have to FORCE myself to shut-up. I have to bite my lip or my tongue or something and tell myself to just nod my head!

(see how long that was? case and point.)

3. I always swore to myself when I was younger that I wasn't going to get married until I was 25. I was going to have a degree and a good job so I could support my future husband through school so he didn't have to work. That worked out AWESOME!
(I wouldn't trade it for the world!)
4. When I was younger and thought about the kids I wanted I always thought that I NEVER WANTED GIRLS!!! I only knew how to deal with boys. I was so far removed from the feminine world growing up that I felt (and still very much feel...) intimidated by everything pink and frilly and girly. I am learning slowly but I still have a long way to go!
(Dale says I cursed us! That we will never have a boy because of this. To Dale: I am so very very sorry but at least I have our next girls name already picked out! I love you!)
5. I haven't had a haircut in 6 months.... I am dying and my hair looks horrible!
6. I would LOVE to write children's books!! I think it would be so fun to to have something I have written for kids creatively illustrated and published for kids to grow up loving! I love the idea of having it be someones favorite story book growing up!
7. I have no self control of any kind! I try to quit drinking soda but I can never say no.... I try to stick to an exercise routine but I cant ever get my lazy butt up to do anything! I know I should but that's never quite enough for me!
Now onto my seven nominations!

Singing Time

Riley was sitting at the computer this morning when all the sudden at the top of her lungs she starts singing this.......

" I am a childa God
and He be sent me here,
to an early home,
with parents kind and here.
Live me,
Guide me,
walk behind me,
help me find a way.
Teach me all that I must do
to live with me somedaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay!"

She is cute

Just Hangin'

We recently bought this high chair at ikea. We LOVE it! He have the little padding for it so its not uncomfortable. Its perfect for our short little child. With this high chair Makenna's head doesn't just barely reach the top of the food tray! Its awesome! (Rileys did that and I hated it! Poor girl was always so uncomfortable!)

Makenna has figured out that her legs dangle at the bottom and she will sit there and just swing her legs back and forth the whole time I feed her!

Its one of the many, many so cute things she does!

Chubby Love

This cute little fatso LOVES to eat!

for the past few weeks she hasn't been sleeping all that well. I guess with a 4-5 month old that's normal but not for her! She was sleeping 12 hours at just a month or so. She would wake up in the middle of the night hungry for food that she acted like she hadn't had in a day!

I had given her some rice cereal and she did really well with it but I wasn't feeding it to her on a consistent basis. So i decided that she needed to do it for real!

I fed her tons one night and she still had a huge bottle but SHE SLEPT THROUGH THE NIGHT! It was awesome. Then the next night she woke up again at 2am. So, I decided she might need more than that.

I decided to give her some vegetables. SHE LOVES THEM! With Riley I had to trick her into eating them by sneaking the into her fruits. This chubby eats them up! She cant get enough of them.

In the mornings I will feed her a whole tub of them a bunch of rice cereal and she still eats a 4oz bottle!

We feel her getting heavier everyday!

She eats about that much at night too and she is sleeping through the night again!!

I should have known all she wanted was more food! This has been the case since day one!

The cheeks are proof!

SunBEAM

My sister just did a similar post to this and I had to share some similar thoughts myself.

This little Bug is now in SUNBEAM class! I was sitting at home on Sunday when I realized this!

Dale and I were trying to figure out what our new ward was and when it was. After realizing we had missed it I started thinking about The Bug in nursery and her getting to know new kids and a new teacher. I was thinking of her having to get used to it all and I was starting to get nervous for her. I don't know why I get so nervous for her when change is involved, she always handles it very well! Anyway, I stared thinking about all of it and all of a sudden my stomach DROPS!

I say to Dale "You know what I just realized?"

He acts casual and asks "What?" not acting at all concerned even though I had just asked a question in such a worry you would think one of our kids had just been seriously hurt.

Again I make it seem like death when I say to him "The Bug is in sunbeams this year!!!"

Of course I say the word "Sunbeams" like its a dirty word.

Dales reaction?

LAUGHTER!

He thought it was so funny that I was so concerned! (and I am sure a little part of him didn't like the thought just as much as me)

I don't like that she is growing up so fast! Sometimes I look at her and I cant believe that she has grown this big and honestly SURVIVED this long!

I am sad to see it all happening so fast and I am scared for the changes she is gonna have to deal with but mostly, I am SOOOOOOOO worried for her new teachers.

And to them whom ever they may be........ Good luck getting her to sit still!!!!

Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha

Up in the air

No I am not doing a movie review. I am starting to rethink the way I do this blog.

Dale always tells me not to worry about what other people think, that this blog is more for our own journaling purposes than anything else. I try to take his advice but I have a hard time thinking that people really want to read what I have to say. I have a tendency to go on and on and on, (a trait I got from my Mother.) I am not very well spoken, and I know I am not that interesting.

I have considered a couple things. In my everyday life I am horrible at taking pictures of my family. So as far as the journaling is concerned I have come up with an idea to make sure I take a few pictures a day of the goings on with Bug and Mak and post the picture I like the most with a description of our day, however mundane they may be. People might not be interested but it might be fun for our kids to look back on someday. Then at the end of the year I could make my blog into a little memory book just for our family to have. A family journal. That way, maybe, the blog will be a little more about what needs to be said rather than what I thinking people want to hear. If people don't read the blog I wouldn't be hurt I would know that I am doing this for my family and to keep memories.

The second idea is pretty much a run- off of the first. I love that even just a few people read my blog. It makes it a little more fun but if what I do really is for other people than I might need to rethink it all. I have thought about doing the picture and daily journal but in a different way. I would be cutting off my blog, making it private and inviting no one to it. Just so I don't have to worry about the opinions of others. Let loose a little say exactly what I want to say. I know i should be able to do that now but no matter how hard I try something reigns me in every time.

I don't really know what to do at this point but I know I should change it up somehow........

This Christmas

It really doesn't feel like Christmas yet to us over here. We have done all the shopping spent all the money but it almost seems like we have done it for nothing! We have a tree, but so far its still in a box. We cant take any of our Christmas things out to decorate because we are moving ONE WEEK BEFORE CHRISTMAS!

I HATE THIS!!

Dale and I want to put up our Christmas so so bad but we would just have to pack it up and move it just to put it up again!! I WILL have our Christmas up in the next apartment and I will have it up until February just to make up for the lack of Christmas we have had so far!

We were supposed to have moved at the beginning of the month but our apartment project just keeps getting pushed to the end of the owners list! Its so frustrating but at least we didn't have to be out of our apartment by a certain date because its the same owner of the two places!

I have to look at the upside to all of this though. As far as Christmas goes I am getting my top three Christmas wishes a week early!

1. A dishwasher! (finally)
2. A Laundry room
3. A backyard

We have been living without these three things for over a year and it has been rough! Well, the backyard we never really had but we at least had a fun place outside to play that was semi-private. That didn't have neighbors from every apt in your complex watching you!

(I am not bitter... I promise) ;)

Lately though this place has been a nightmare! The neighbors don't know how to close their door without slamming it and it wakes up Makenna every time! The play loud music and yell all the time and none of us can stay asleep through it! I am not sure I can even handle this place for one more week!

I have gone on a little rant but its mostly just to say that I wish it felt like Christmas over here. There is nothing here to let me feel Christmas except for the almost empty bank account.

In spite of not having the feeling of Christmas, I have made it a point to read Riley the Christmas story a couple time this month when I have been super frustrated by all of this just to try to remind myself of the true spirit of Christmas. That it doesn't matter what else is going on THAT is what I need to think about and what I need to remember and feel. Its important that Riley tries to understand it as well. She wont get it all this year, but if I try to teach her a little bit she will grow to understand!
