Where Do Kids Get This Stuff

We are in the car yesterday and Riley Bug was telling Dale and I all about how she was a baby "yesterday"
(what term she uses to describe any time in her life that she cant remember)
Dale had asked her a couple questions and the rest went like this...

Bug- Ya, yesterday when I was a baby I wore a diaper like Mak.

Dale- You did, huh?

Bug- Yep!

Dale- Well, did you poop in your diaper?

Bug- You bet I did!!

Yep.
I have no idea where she gets this stuff...

Hair Cut and Sucker

So, this little girl has been needing her hair cut for a while. She is 2 1/2 after all but I kept putting it off because I just couldn't bear the thought of cutting off her curly blond newborn hairs. It always made me sad thinking about it.

but when it looked like this everyday.....

I decided enough was enough! Her "bangs" were always getting in her face and itching her nose and again, it always looked somewhat like this...

I let my fear go and took her little neglected head to get her hair cut!

She was really nervous at first and then it turned into an all out fit!

So sad...
But then the hair stylist offered her a sucker and it was smooth sailing!

That lady could have done whatever she wanted with that girls hair and she wouldn't have cared a bit!
Though, she still looked at me as if I was gonna pay for making her go through this later.

And boy did I pay. We had a rough afternoon her and I...
( Although it was probably more from her lack of nap than actual revenge but I guess I will never know)

But it was worth it!

The cut is PERFECT! It looks so cute on her!
Even if it does make her look less like my "baby" and more like a little grown-up.
I am okay with it (no I'm not) because it just fits her so well!

Hopefully as it grown out i will start to see some curls again... Wishful thinking I guess.

Well Played, Child

Me- Kenna what does a fishy say?

Makenna- Water, water, water!

Wouldn't have thought of that...
She definitely keeps me laughing!

My Day

My Day looked like this.

And that was at a "better" part of the day...

fever, aches, chills, sweats, nausea, vomiting, contractions....

I felt REALLY fabulous.
seriously. every 8 month pregnant lady should get the flu....

and just when i start to think i am feeling better and might be able to take on the responsibilities i have waiting for me the next day the aches and nausea come back.

This sucks.

Halloween

Our Halloween went a little like this.

A parade on Friday morning for the K-3rd graders at Bugs school!
She looked so cute and had lots of fun!

Then last night as soon as Dale got home from work we ran out the door to make it to Mom and Dad Whipples ward Halloween party.

Mak could not have been more excited to get into her Dorothy Dress!
She has been telling us everyday for a couple weeks that she was gonna be "Dorofy"

Too cute!
She asked to open every piece of candy the second she got it! There was no way she wanted to wait....
Too bad for her!

Riley was excited to get back in her costume for some more fun and trick-or-treating!

We trick-or-treated around Mom and Dad Whipples neighborhood then went to see my parents.

By the end of the night Makenna was as awake and hyper as could be and Riley was so exhausted and grumpy and we went home fast and the girls were asleep faster than ever!

Thanks Halloween!

Never Were There Such Devoted Sisters

These two girls are so fun to watch.
They are best friends and it couldn't make me happier.

They can make each other laugh like no one else can and they can make each other scream like no one else can.

I am so glad they have each other.

Mak is getting old enough that they are able to have conversations and tease and joke and sing it also means they can fight and scream and tattle and stay up way too late talking in their room when they are supposed to be sleeping.

Tonight while we were in the car on our way home Makenna tooted and and when they both groaned and laughed about it Mak turned to Riley and said "You're distusting (disgusting) Wiwey" Dale and I were laughing so hard. She has learned to put the blame for totting on her sister. Cracks me up!

I am so happy that I get to watch them grow up together.

Was

Man alive, I hate pictures of myself.
especially pregnant pictures.

They are always so awkward.
I never know how to stand, how to smile, where to put my hands that doesnt look awkward or cover up my belly and make me look smaller than I actually am (like they do in this picture) how to turn my head, if Dale has even decided while he is taking the picture to even put my head in it.

So they end up looking like this....
ugh

This was me 3 weeks ago tomorrow.
Sooooo... 28 weeks and 5 days?
Ya I think thats right. Probably not though. I cant be trusted when it comes to anything that involves any amount of brain power right about now.

I look at this picture and I think
"Man, i thought i was huge then and that was almost a month ago!"
I am a big pregnant monster.
That's pretty much it.

Today

Today is the day for the pregnancy glucose test.

Three Things.

One- The fruit punch flavor is NOT any better than the orange. Everyone lies.

Two- I really wish my Gag reflexes weren't so dang bad.

Three- Makenna smothering me with her poopy diaper while I am already on the verge of throwing up doesn't help the issue I am having with thing number 2. (no pun intended, really)

I am going to treat myself to something very salty when I am done with this!!!

Lately

Lately I have not been great at this blogging thing.

Lets be honest I haven't been great at much lately.

Besides growing a human.
I am doing AWESOME at that.
But being awesome at that makes me way less awesome with other things.
WAY less awesome....

So I just decided that Since I haven't posted about anything, really, that we have been up to the past couple months (which hasn't been much) I would just post a ton of pictures. I am not great at capturing moments but I do have some that I have been wanting to share.

So here we go.

My awesome sister Jamie took some pictures of us on the land behind our uncles farm in Utah.
I LOVE THEM.
It was short and sweet. Which was perfect because we were all exhausted from the road trips we had taken to get there. Jamie was way more exhausted so we made it quick!

MY FAVORITE!!

We had fun, while we were staying at my uncles house, going back and forth from one of his chicken coops to the other having so much fun experiencing something totally different than they were used to.

We were able to take the girls to my Grandpa Dents house and visit. Riley had a lot of fun teasing him. He loved it just as much!

We attempted a 4 generation picture...

And more loving on Great Grandpa Dent.

I caught a candid of my brother, who LOVES to hide from the camera unless he has to and if he cant then you will most likely not get him to smile. Especially this naturally, and especially not in a white shirt and tie! Haha If he finds this out he will kill me! I am risking my life.

We were able to visit the Logan Temple.
The temple my parents were married in.
This temple is gorgeous!
We were only able to walk the grounds but now I am dying to go in.

Then we came home and Riley started kindergarten.
Then Mak had her second Birthday.

Lots of presents and fun with grandparents.

Oh and Cake.

And playing mommy with her new baby doll.

And cake...

Then in September my sister- in- law Lana Came home from her mission In Chile! We have had fun Catching up and Shopping!

No pictures.. Cause I stink at it But we have had fun!

Now its October! I cant believe it. I am so glad the end of the year is getting closer and going by so fast! I Just want to have my little boy and hold him and watch him grow up with his sisters! Also I so just want to not be pregnant anymore. haha

Technically

So I know these type of posts usually come with a great profile view of the pregnant woman posting them at the correct amount of weeks along... I don't have one. I have a GREAT profile shot of my belly from a month ago though, just not on this computer.
I am awesome.
So this will just have to do.

This is also from a month ago when we were in Utah at the Logan Temple. Not profile so you cant really tell how monstrous I was (or am) but after I saw this picture I decided that this dress needed to be retired until post-partum.  Seriously, I am sure I flashed a few family members my "inappropriates" while doing Mommy duties while I was at a cemetery.
What was I thinking?
I need to stick to maxi dresses.

On topic? Not great at that...

So technically I am supposed to be 25 weeks but Baby Boy has consistently been measuring and developing a week ahead the whole pregnancy. Here's to the hope that Doc will move up the due date a week. I have done this twice now and I can feel my body progressing much faster than it has with either girls pregnancies. I have been feeling braxton hicks contractions since I was 3months and they are getting harder and longer. He is sitting so low already it feels like he has already dropped. I am hoping at this point that he decides to at least stick it out until 37 weeks...

So I decided that I needed to write down how I am feeling and whats happening at this stage in pregnancy before I get any farther and haven't put anything down anywhere.

-I am in pain. Every joint and muscle is working overtime with this one and I am in constant pain. I never had these problems with the other 2 until 9 months.

-I have been craving Chocolate Milk and Corn dogs. Never at the same time but definitely daily.

-This is the point in my pregnancy where NONE of my clothes fit me. Not even the ones I have bought to fit me for a while since found out I was pregnant. I woke up Friday and NOTHING fit. I have a skirt some basketball shorts and a t-shirt. Its great...

-I am still sick. Almost all the time. I haven't thrown up in a few weeks but I got really close yesterday. The sickest I have been in weeks.

-This kid is vicious. Mean and strong. His kicks are already wreaking havoc on my ribs. He is so strong. Dale likes to shake my belly on the rare occasion that he is not active and I honestly get a little scared of waking the beast. I may or may not whine a little every time Dale starts to shake my belly.

-The girls are so excited for their little baby brother. Riley asks me every day "Mom, can we PLEASE go to the hosibal to get my baby brother out of your tummy tomorrow??" I wish it was that easy.

-He already has 2 names. Hiccup and Rudger. Rudger just happens to be his nickname according to Riley. Every time I say the name Rudger she corrects me and says "Its HICCUP mom!" Haha

-We are nowhere near ready for this boy but luckily we still have some time.

Stressful

You know what is SO stressful for me? Having to call people who you pay for services such as cable and telling them you no longer want to give them your money. I go into a cold sweat every time.

So nervous.

I don't know why it bothers me so much when it doesn't phase other people in the slightest.

Even talking on the phone with people I am comfortable talking face to face to gets me nervous. Talking with anyone but my immediate family on the phone makes me nervous like this.

Its ridiculous.

I am ALMOST one of those people that take them up on their (not so) fabulous offers they have for you all of the sudden just so that I don't have to be so nervous. I, however, refuse to be a pushover. I have to make myself angry at them just so I don't feel guilty. I get a little mean and a little pushy!

"CAN I JUST CANCEL? I JUST WANT TO CANCEL. I AM JUST CANCELING!!"

I know it is stupid to feel nervous and guilty. I know I will never hear from them or see them ever and I know how relieved i get when the phone call is over thinking of the money i wont have to pay them anymore but i just cant help it.

I have issues. Please tell me I am not the only one???

What Baby?

I can't believe its been two years.
I can't believe that we have had enough time to go from this...

To this...

Makenna is so grown up. She has gone from babbling constantly to talking constantly. She knows words   and phrases that surprise me every day.

My favorite is
" Wiwey is at shool... I guess. Daddy is at wowk... I guess"
She says these as she shrugs her shoulders and looks up at me with those big dark eyes!
I say big "dark" eyes because i still haven't decided what color her eyes are. Sometimes she looks at me and they are unmistakeably brown. Other times they are a deep dark olive green!

She has the most beautiful golden curly locks! I have no idea where they come from but they sure are gorgeous!

She is happy 95% of the time and is throwing huge tantrums the other 5%.

She is the biggest cuddle queen ever and loves to give loves.

She is the child of one million facial expressions, which I can never seem to capture on camera...
She has the sneakiest eyes. She thinks she can get away with anything.
(I am on to you child!)

Her favorite song to sing is "I Love to See the Temple" She asks for "Da teempoo song" every night before she goes to bed and she sings right along with me to every word. There is nothing sweeter! I promise!!

She loves going for walks in the stroller to pick up Riley from the bus stop, its her favorite time of day!

Every time she sneezes she says, "Kenna's ok! I'm ok!" and every time someone sneezes she has to ask and make sure they are ok!

Her favorite things in the world are her "mimi" (blanket) and her thumb. I dont know how anyone of us would survive if she didnt have either!

Sweetness aside she is one tough cookie! Nothing phases her. Even when she takes a hard fall to concrete and her teeth split her lip...

She is very open and not shy at all. She will talk your ear off no matter who you are!

She already has a very nurturing mothering personality and loves to carry dolls around. She makes sure they are wrapped tightly in blankets and she rocks them and pats their back. I can not wait to see how she reacts to her little brother when he gets here!

To top all this off she is IMPATIENT! This child puts me to shame... We are working on it.

Happy birthday Makenna! I love you so much!

It Finally Happened...

( I am trying to figure out my picture thing right now. Why when you enter them through blogger do they look so crappy and when you try to put them through photobucket and resize them so they dont take up the whole page it does it not work?? HELP!)

...She grew up.
I cant believe it.
She is sitting in her kindergarten class right now probably having so much fun being all grown up and independent and learning.

I am so proud of her!!!

Photobucket

Thank you pinterest for this idea! I don't have a printer that works so I had to do it a little differently than the picture that keeps floating around pinterest but it turned out perfect. (I think)

Photobucket

We have been in Utah for a week and the whole time she talked about how when we got home she was going to go to kindergarten!
She was so ready for it!

Photobucket

I think this is harder on Makenna than it is on Riley! Mak had to watch her play with out her and walk away with out her and we had to leave the school with out her and even an hour later she is still asking for Riley. I hope she adjusts well, I am sure she will once she realizes she gets to have me all to herself all day.

But Riley saw that she felt left out and ran up to her to give her a kiss through the fence! Such a sweet sister!

Photobucket

Good Bye Mom and Dad. Love ya but I'm not gonna miss ya!
haha

She is SO grown up and I am so proud of how she reacts to change and I am so excited to watch her learn and grow throughout the school years ahead!
