Is it alright....

Is it alright that I just am so so sick of renting crappy apartments that I think would work out well for us then turn into a nightmare at every turn??

YES

Is it alright that I haven't had air conditioning in my house since last Thursday and no matter how many times I call no one is coming to fix it?????

NO

Is it alright that I had to foil up (ghetto-fy) every window in my house to keep as much sunlight as possible out of this place so that I didn't feel like I was in hell all day everyday??

Sure it is but its really annoying!

Is it alright that my kids have been in a constant sweat since last Thursday because no one is fixing the problems I have here???

NO it sure isn't!!!

I have been so so frustrated with our living arrangements since the second we moved in here and the problems just keep getting worse! I thought this move was gonna be a great one for us and I was really excited about it but it has just been a nightmare!!! I have spent A LOT of money trying to make my crappy situation feel like home but right now all I want to do is pack all of it in a box move it into storage and move somewhere where we can save up money so we can finally become homeowners. Then I can put the stuff in a permanent place. Make it really feel like home because it will be. I know being a homeowner comes with its own set of issues and financial responsibilities but I am so ready to take on whatever part of that I have to face!

I think people really need to rent out in the first couple years of marriage to really appreciate what being a homeowner means! People take it for granted!

Sorry for the venting session but I am at my breaking point!!!!

The eyes say it all

I guess my camera works pretty well when there is some natural light coming through my windows. I don't know there is still something weird about it. Even if its just on automatic setting. I really can't figure this thing out!

I take better pictures with my phone! Sad!

These eyes get me everyday!!!! I never could pin point the color of her eyes. If you ask her what color her eyes are she will tell you purple.

Really though, there is some yellow some blue some green. Some days different colors stick out more depending on what she is wearing.

Dale a few weeks ago said something about her Hazel eyes....

THAT'S IT!

She has amazing Hazel eyes!

Since Mak was born her eyes kept going darker and darker. They started out a crazy blue color and slowly turned a little more green. The only thing is that in every picture that we take they always come out looking more brown. Her eyes are actually a gorgeous shade of green. Almost an olive green.
I keep thinking that maybe they will still keep changing but I haven't noticed any change in at least 2 months!

I always wanted babies with green and hazel eyes but I never thought it would happen.

Yesterday I took the girls and myself over to a friends house to learn how to make felt flower hair clippies and to let riley play a little!!
I was able to get the giraffe print and the yellow and black one done while I was there and had patterns. It was so fun!! I am so glad I have learned how to make these cute things!!

When I got home I wanted to make some more and I found a few traceable patterns online but of course my printer is out of ink! But while I was looking a saw a picture of cute bow-tie looking clips and cute circles with initials on them! I hand traced the bow tie in two different sizes to make the cute black and white ones with my own special touch and of course a circle isn't too difficult I just had to make it the right size to cover the clip!

I am very very proud of these cute things and I cant wait to stick them on the girls hair. (and Mak's headband since she lacks hair!)

Of course they aren't perfect but I think it adds a little too them.

6. You don't want to do a public place. i.e. peter piper pizza (see number 5)

She's Pretty Fly

Riley is scared of flys....

I could end with that but I wont. I will share a short story with you.

5 minutes ago Riley Bug started turning in circles like a dog trying to follow a fly that kept landing in different spots on her.

I was pretty amused. No matter how many times I told her the fly was gone she kept hitting herself on different dark spots on her clothes thinking it was that fly.

She's A Little Tea Pot.....

The Easter Bunny brought Riley Bug a "Paint your own tea set" To put next to her Easter basket this year! The box was too big to fit inside.

I couldn't have seen her more excited!

She LOVES tea sets! She had a big plastic princess one that was loud annoying and would get EVERYWHERE!

I have been wanting to throw it away for a while but never found the right solution. All the tea sets seemed to be all the same. Last week sometime, though, Dale and I were walking around at different stores having fun alone on a date night and I saw this cute little porcelain tea set!! It wasn't expensive and I knew she would have sooo much fun painting it all by herself!!

SOLD!!!

We started painting them tonight and at first I had a hard time relinquishing control.....

I had a image in my head of what I wanted it to look like. Then Dale made me realize that she was 3 and when she had this when she was older she would wonder if she really painted all by herself...

"No, hunny sorry! Mommy has control issues and didn't let you do it by yourself"

I had to let go, so I did!

The result was pretty fun I think!

Now we have to let them dry for a day and cook them and they will be free to tea party it up!

Seriously??

I have stressed myself out and made myself nervous over something that doesn't even include me....

I know I am insane.

Now I have a stomach that's cramping on me and wont stop!

I hate when my body does this!!

Why do I worry about stupid things??

Why do I force my body into these kind of reactions over NOTHING?!?!

I guess I will never know......

It's So Beautiful...

Yesterday the Primary in our ward was asked to sing "He Sent His Son" For sacrament meeting.

Since The Bug is now in Primary she was supposed to go up and sing........... When they announced that the kids needed to come up to the stage i helped her to the aisle but didn't take her any further. I figured the primary leaders would be a little more through at getting the little kids up front...

They weren't

She stood behind all the tall kids not to be seen....

But heard

Once the song started I could hear her crying. I felt so bad for her. I kept thinking that I should have gone and put her in the place she should have been.

She cried the entire song!

No one moved her.

At one point I was tempted to go up there and get her and move her. I thought that would be a little overprotective stage mommy of me so I let it go.

When the song was over she came running down the isle to me Face bright red tears in a constant stream down her face.

I couldn't help but laugh a little.

She wouldn't stop crying long enough to tell me what was wrong until I got her to sit down she said.....

"Mommy that song was so beautiful, It made me sad!"

She is very much our sensitive one!

She has don't this quite a few times before and I cant help but die laughing every time!

Whenever she watches our wedding video she will sit on the couch with tears running down her face saying,

"Mommy Princess and Daddy King are so beautiful"

I cant even describe it to you well enough. I cant make the crying sound effects she makes! Its really really funny and so so sweet!

Another time she did this was a few weeks ago when our really good friends were married.

She was over on one side of the yard playing on the jungle gym they had and all of a sudden she is running up to me crying! I pick her up and she starts to tell me about how the song is so beautiful and made her sad and how Jessica, who was dancing with her dad at the time, Was so beautiful in her princess dress dancing with her Daddy!

She is so so sensitive and I love her for it! She will add a little bit of sugar to our spicy household!

Again...

K, that was super lame! I realize this!

I was trying to think of a clever way to introduce this post.

I have never been creative.

Anyway

See this amazingly happy girl? Too adorable for words, Yes?

YEP!

She is growing far too fast!

She has been army crawling around since just after her 4 month mark.

She KNOWS how to use her knees and she is really really good at it but she CHOOSES to use her arms to pull her everywhere!

If she gets frustrated enough she will get up on her hands and knees and book it to wherever she needs to go but for the most part she uses her amazing upper body strength to pull her body everywhere.

Oh Yeah,

shes STRONG!!

So strong she pulled herself up to standing last weekend!

Yep!! she wasn't even 7 months old and she was pulling herself up!

We were at my sisters house babysitting her kids for her for the weekend and all the babies were in bed and Mak was playing on the floor and Dale and I had pulled out a video game and started playing when I realized that Mak had pulled herself up to standing holding onto the couch! It happened so fast it took a second for it to hit me!

She fell down just as soon as she got up but she still pulled herself up!!

I thought it was a fluke....

NOT EVEN CLOSE!

She has been doing it like crazy ever since!

She is even starting to walk while she is holding onto the things she pulled herself on!

Her legs are becoming really steady and unfortunately I think she will start letting go soon!

Riley started o experiment with walking at 8 and a half months and decided to really walk at 9 months.

I was hoping that Mak would wait a little longer than that but I don't think its gonna happen!

We got home from my sisters house and thought we needed to lower her crib setting but decided to wait just a little bit longer....... Until the next morning.

Dale went in to get her and she was on her knees holding onto the railing.

So I spent the next 30 minutes changing her crib.

Now when we go in to get her from naps and bed time she is full on standing holding onto the bars looking over the top crying for us to get her!

I promise I will have photo proof later!

My baby is growing up so fast.

Part of me wants to just slow her down and another part of me cant help but be so excited and proud!
